Roger Sharp - Managing Director

Roger founded Co-Investor in 2004. He has 30 years' experience in finance and international markets and has run significant investment/banking businesses around the world.

From 1997-2001 Roger was a Managing Director of ABN AMRO Bank, holding roles including CEO of Asia-Pacific Equities, Head of Corporate Finance Execution for Asia and Global Head of Technology. Prior to that he ran Corporate Finance businesses for ten years in Australia and New Zealand for Ord Minnett (now JP Morgan). Before joining Ord Minnett Roger was the founder and Managing Director of Datacorp Systems Limited, which he built and sold.

Over many years Roger and his teams have been active investors in, advisors to and catalysts for change in private and public companies, at all stages of the corporate life cycle. Roger led the firm’s investment in, restructuring and sale of Software of Excellence International Limited to Henry Schein Inc. in 2007. He also chaired ASX-listed travel.com.au Limited, leading its turnaround and sale to Wotif.com Holdings in January 2008. More recently as Executive Chairman of D2 Marketing Limited (formerly CommQuest Limited) he led that firm’s restructuring, recapitalisation and privatisation.

Roger has BA LLB qualifications from the University of Auckland, has undertaken short course studies at INSEAD, is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and represents Co-Investor as a director of several companies.

Roger moved to Singapore in 2011 to lead the firm's growth in Asia. He chairs the group and its Investment Committee.
